The Girls' Football Schedule is now available

The Rules:

FootballALL TEAMS SHOULD BRING 2 DIFFERENT COLOURED FOOTBALL STRIPS FOR THE EVENT

1. There will be separate tournaments for girls and boys 6-a-side football

2. Each squad may consist of a maximum of 8 and a minimum of 7 players

3. There will be 6 players on the pitch at any one time, including the goalkeeper.

4. The FA recommends players born in 1990 or 1991

5. Depending on the number of entries, teams will be entered into pools of up to 6 teams.

6. In the preliminary round, each team will play all other teams in their pool once. The top 3 teams will go forward to the 'Medal' competition; the remaining teams will enter the 'Plate' competition.

7. In the 'Medal' and 'Plate' competitions, teams will be drawn into 2 pools of 3, 4 or 5 depending on numbers with each team playing all others in their pool.

8. The semi- finals will be between the winners of one pool against the runner up in the other.

9. The final will be between the 2 semi-final winners.

10. In all pool games, 3 points will be awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw. The rules in the event of a tie in the pool rounds will be determined prior to the tournament. In the event of a draw at semi-final or final stages there will be 1 period of extra time followed by penalties.

11. The rules of the tournament will be the FIFA rules modified for small-sided games as determined by the Football Association and will be made available to all teams. Alternatively they can be found on www.thefa.com.

12. The pitch size will be 60m by 40m.

13. The ball used will be a size 5.

14. Each game will be 2 halves of 10 minutes.
