Coventry
City Council
The International Children's Games will play a significant role
in promoting Coventry on an international stage. The
regeneration of the city centre and new investment, coupled with a
thousand year history, makes Coventry popular for tourism and
business opportunities. The games can only enhance that and give
the city a wider audience to pitch to. That's why we want the
athletes and their families to have a great time here, so when they
go back home, they will spread the word!

University
of Warwick
The University of Warwick is proud to support the 2005
International Children’s Games as its principal sponsor.
With the Games Village at the heart of our modern campus we look
forward to welcoming competitors, delegates and
supporters to the 2005 games.
Formed 40 years ago through a unique partnership of the Coventry
and Warwickshire authorities, the University of
Warwick has always been proud of its close association with the
local community.
As a university with an international reputation, Warwick is
excited to be involved in this international celebration of
sporting achievement and friendship that is being held here in
Coventry.
Coventry
University
When it was announced that the International Children’s
Games would be held in the city this year, Coventry University
jumped at the chance to be involved. Over 10% of the
University’s 17,000 students come from outside the UK and the
University has a wealth of experience in helping to make those
students feel at home in a new city.
As the co-ordinator of the volunteer programme, we have worked
closely with the event organising committee and the 470 volunteers
who offered their services.
We are delighted to me a major player in helping to make the
Games a success and look forward to welcoming you all to Coventry
for what is going to be a memorable event.

CVOne
Sport is a force for unity in an increasingly unstable world,
and any city that takes its international links seriously would be
proud to host the International Children's Games.
For Coventry, it represents a marvellous chance to show that it
can organise major international events, a key qualification if it
is to become a serious training camp contender for the 2012
Olympics and beyond. For the young people taking part it is an
unmissable opportunity to compete in friendly rivalry against
contemporaries across the world who share their dreams and
aspirations.
CV One, as Coventry's city centre management and tourism
company, feels privileged to be part of the organising group.

Sport
England
Sport England West Midlands provides the strategic leadership
for sport in the region and is delighted to be able to support the
International Children's Games. The legacy from the games will
certainly help achieve a number of actions within the regional plan
for sport - 'Sign Up for Sport'. The games provide an excellent
opportunity to stimulate a sports volunteering programme that
perfectly heralds the Year of the Volunteer 2005. The International
Children's Games will also be a real catalyst for many more young
people to take up sport and enjoy the benefits. Sport England
wishes the International Children's Games every success and
congratulates Coventry on becoming the first UK host city.
